During Your Stay

I very much hope that you enjoy your stay here.

I am Becky, and I live in the attached annex. You may see me or my visitors pass through the garden. I will respect your privacy – the garden and terrace are all for your use.

I have two kittens – Crumpet and Muffin – if you are not fond of cats please let me know. Otherwise they may come and say hello!

At any time during your stay if you require anything or have any questions at all please call or text me on 07813 042823.

The house is stricktly no smoking however you are welcome to smoke in the garden where an ashtray is provided.

The wifi information and door code will be emailed to you two days before your arrival.

Bins and Recycling – Our local council has recently introduced three weekly general waste collections, so if you are able to recycle what you can that would be great.

A green waste bin is on the window in the kitchen.

If you need to empty any waste during your stay, the main black wheelie bin can be found behind the small shed by the gate.

The smaller shed opposite has the recycling bins in:

Black: Paper and Card
Green: Bottles
Blue bags: Plastic and Cans
Brown: Food Waste

Spares and Supplies – As well as cleaning products and spare toilet rolls etc, light bulbs and bin liners can be found in either the cupboard above the microwave in the first drawer of the right as you enter the kitchen. A first aid box can be found in the drawers on the right on the kitchen.

Washing up liquid and diswasher tablets can be found under the sink.

Heating is set to come on in the mornings and evenings. The temperature can be controlled by the thermostat in the hallway or by adjusting the radiators. Blankets are under each of the beds and a couple of sofa throw blankets are available for chilly evenings inside or out!

A water bowl can be found on the window cill in the kitchen, along with poo bags  Outside you will see a scooper if you wish to use it. The filled bags can be popped in the black waste bin by the gate.

Please keep dogs on a lead in the garden. Please also ask your furry friends not to go on the sofa or beds – thank you!

While I have fitted two stair gates, top and bottom of the stairs, please ensure that they are firmly attached. It is advised to supervise toddlers, even when the gates are shut.

There is a travel cot in the main bedroom – the instructions are included, so please follow these when assembling it. (Cot bedding is not provided)

There are two small steps, which are marked by tape, one in the bathroom and one leading to the downstairs cloakroom.

Outside, again there are steps down from the patio, so please keep an eye – I wouldn’t want any bumped heads!

The log pile outside of the annex is also an area to keep little ones away from, as is the side and back of the corner office – which is where I store garden pots etc.

Thank you!

The garden is south facing and very warm during the summer months – please enjoy it. It is solely for guests’ use, as I have my own courtyard at the back of the annex.

Outside seating

The cushions for the chairs outside should stay dry if the chairs are left under the table at night. There is also a wrought iron table and chair set that can be moved wherever you would like it in the garden. During wet weeks I keep the chair cushions in the sehd, so please help yourslef if they are there.

Side Gate

The side gate is my main access to the garden, so please leave unbolted, as I may be out and not able to return to the annex if it is locked!

Barbeque

Please feel free to use the barbeque – implements for it can be found in the kitchen drawers – if you could clean it afterwards that would be great – there is a wire brush for doing this. The barbeque can be found in the shed at the side of the house.

Log pile

The log pile is part of the annex – please could you ensure children are kept away, as I would hate for there to be any accidents!

Please don’t forget to sign out televisions from any of your accounts

Bed Linen and Towels

We ask you to please remove all duvet covers, sheets and pillow cases and place them together with towels in the linen bag provided in the blue bedroom (right hand side of wardrobe – or if you can leave in a pile downstarors if you woud prefer) at the end of your stay. Please leave mattress and pillow protectors in place. Many thanks

Don’t forget your phone chargers!

Please check drawers for anything that may be left behind too!
