We had a wonderful week at Becky's house. She did everything she could to make our stay as pleasant as possible, even buying a BBQ for us. The house is cozy and fully equipped. The beds in one of the rooms are very soft, but they will be replaced this year. The location of the house is also very good. Supermarkets and restaurants are within walking distance, and you can safely park your car on the premises.

Jane28 days agoThis is a great house, very roomy and reasonably priced. The location is great, Somerton is very pretty and you can easy drive to Street, Wells and Glastonbury. My only thing to note is if you have a dog you do have to keep it on the lead in the garden as Beccy has a cat, which comes and goes to her house is an annex in the garden. However, it still feels very private and we were still able to enjoy the garden and sit out.Posted on Airbnb

The location is quiet, with plenty to explore in the surrounding area. The hostess is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended, would gladly stay again.

Rosemary99 days agoGreat location for exploring Somerset.We explored the caves at Wookey Hole, drove in the impressive Cheddar gorge and spent a day at Charmouth and Lyme Regis. Ample space for 7 and a dog. Becky's place has good amenities. She filled the paddling pool for the children to use as the weather was hot and sunny. The accommodation had everything we needed and Becky was a great host, always responsive and helpful. Tereza216 days agoWe only stayed for a night but the place was clean and tidy and seemed to have everything you'd need for a week or so. The bedroom and bathroom downstairs are a real bonus if you come with people who would struggle with the stairs. Diana P243 days agoHad a lovely stay- really is a family house. We were 3 adults and 2 kids (4 and 5). Lots of toys in the house for them to play with and Becky was delighted to see them playing in the 100% fenced garden. Also lots of items in the kitchen such as plates and cups for the children. 2 Bathrooms was a bonus - kids and parents upstairs and I had the twin room downstairs with the shower room with loo- ideal for no queues! House was extremely clean and very warm. Kitchen was very well supplied for cooking in the oven, on the hob, and in the microwave - Dishwasher was a real bonus, as was the washing machine. Even though Becky lives in the annexe, we did not feel at all that she was ever checking on us to see what we were doing - which was nice. Walking to the amazing play park at the football fields was 15 mins (slow kids) and then the walk from the park to a pub in the village, another 20 (again slow kids) , and 10 back to the house, so quite doable if you want to eat in the village RECOMMENDPosted on Airbnb

Jo335 days agoI didn't get to meet Becky but had good communication via Airbnb app. She accommodated an early check in. The house is great for our purposes but I think 8 would be a squeeze in the lounge/diner. The sofa can easily accommodate 4 people, the rest were on dining chairs, although there is a rocking chair. Nice touches to have blankets in the lounge. It's about 20 mins from Glastonbury. The house is well equipped. The mattresses are mostly soft so you may struggle if you prefer a firmer mattress. Becky was amazing from start to finish, from communicating via messaging or when she would see us in the garden it would be a smile, a chat and left us satisfied and at ease. If there would be a problem (which there wasn’t) I had full confidence that she would be there in an instant. She was always super friendly. She gave us great advice for food out and trips. Her place was just like the photos online that you see. It was super clean and tidy. Would highly recommend her place and would go back to her place again. Keep up the good work you do Becky. The home was spotless, thoughtfully arranged, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. The upstairs bathroom was a peaceful retreat, while the downstairs shower was modern and refreshing. The house is in a quiet, peaceful part of Somerton, with kind and friendly locals, which added to the charm. Becky was always available if we needed anything, with clear contact info provided. A highlight was the well organised folder containing a fascinating book on Somerton’s history, from its Roman roots to the Anglo-Saxon era, as well as a lovely account of how the home was restored. Perfect for our two families to meet for a weekend catchup (and to watch Eurovision) Very well appointed kitchen and a lovely garden were the two real standouts, but the rest of the house was great. Becky was quick to respond to any enquiries and very friendly. We didn't venture far from the house but Somerton (the capital of Wessex) was a pretty village with quite a variety of places to eat. We had lunch at The Globe, good food and drink, and a nice beer garden. Hopefully we'll be back for Eurovision 2026Posted on Booking

Becky’s communication was prompt and friendly.Clear and easy check in. Lots of recommendations for local restaurants/pubs etc.Great bonus is dog friendly. Rowena657 days agoWe were a group of 3 generations and 2 dogs and we had a fantastic time. We were visiting the area for the November Carnivals and Becky's Airbnb was absolutely perfect for ensuring we could cover 2 of them over our stay.We were made to feel very welcome and appreciated how warm the house was when we arrived. The kitchen (& bedrooms & bathrooms) were very well equipped. We particularly enjoyed the photo book with photos of the property before decorating, we found it interesting to see the history of the house.There are stair gates at the top and bottom of the stairs, are very useful, for children and dogs. Although our huskie quickly figured out how to undo the lower one, so kudos to him, but we used the top one instead.The twin bedroom on the ground floor is perfect for anyone who struggles with stairs and the automatic lights are a brilliant addition when trying to find your way in the dark, inside the house and out.Thank you for helping us make fantastic memories.Posted on Airbnb

Becky made us feel very comfortable to use the backyard space and gave us more privacy than necessary, which was very kind of her. She was VERY flexible with our check in. We all slept well and only really used it for a base for the evenings. It had everything you needed and the host (despite living in the annexe in the garden) was very respectful of our privacy. Nice touches like tea towels, washing up liquid etc that you may sometimes forget to take away and a big selection of books and some family games and a nice big garden with furniture to sit out on but we didn’t really have time to use any of these. ☹ My husband wasn’t keen on the owner being in the annexe in the garden as he felt he couldn’t relax but she was very respectful of our privacy and we only saw her pop along the garden once for a parcel delivery. A few little things like mould on the bathroom ceiling, couldn’t get the tv to work in the bedroom but we weren’t bothered as we didn’t really spend long in the property. Super Easy 10 minute walk to town. Janet Porter1482 days agoOur host Becky was amazing from the start, our accommodation was spotlessly clean and extremely homely, a home from home. Becky had thought of everything the kitchen well stocked with everything you would need plenty of space to cook. We slept well and having a bad back the bed I had was perfect not too hard, or too soft. We had lovely weather and enjoyed her large garden enough space to play football with my grandson. A large patio with table and chairs to dine at and comfy sofa to sit on in the shade. We will definitely stay againPosted on Google
Sarah Powell1482 days agoSpotlessly clean property in a quiet residential location, close to the beautiful quaint town of Somerton. Everything that you could need was in the property, even tea, coffee, milk to get you started on arrival. The host, Becky was amazing, going over and above expectations as she looked after our two labradors whilst we were out at a skydive during the latest heatwave. Elizabeth1578 days agorelaxing and comfortable ☺ comfy clean beds. having little bits like washing up liquid and kitchen roll etc was really handy as we were only there for a few days so didn’t need to take everything. so much was provided to make life easier. Netflix was a nice extra. lovely host. ☹ Dining room let it down a bit and I feel it would of been a problem for us if they’d been more of us as we like to eat in for one meal a day so we can relax. Tv was so poor in the bedroom I’d have preferred it not being there.Posted on Google

Sue Clarke1682 days agoWhat a delightful find! Highly recommend! How lucky we were to stay for a few nights over the summer holidays, in peace and comfort. Beautiful airy rooms, combined with comfy beds, crisp linen, and perfectly clean and tidy throughout. Couldn't rate it more highly! Becky was a perfect host and nothing was too much trouble. This place is well set up, and was such a great base to explore Somerset and its surrounding area, close to Somerton town which is also a hidden gem. Loved the closeness to Glastonbury too so we could visit the Tor! It was compact, but immaculately clean and attractively decorated. When my mother died a few days after paying our deposit, Becky immediately refunded our deposit and was very sympathetic to my situation. Chris Chappell2145 days agoWe stayed at Becky's house for a week in mid August. It was perfect for our needs as three fairly senior cyclists: sparkling clean, plenty of space, storage for our bikes in her garden shed, pristine new bathrooms and kitchen; plus only a 15 minute walk into town or a five minute bike ride. The location was ideal for daily rides exploring the history and scenery of mid Somerset. We loved the local Buttercross tea shop and a great range of local pubs.Posted on Google
